Pultplan

From the office’s monthly PDF to everyone’s pocket — in minutes.

Pultplan is a free app for orchestra musicians that turns the monthly schedule (the Dienstplan) into a living, always-current plan. The admin uploads the PDF the orchestra office sends around; Pultplan reads it right on the device and turns it into structured events — rehearsals, concerts and services. An AI-assisted step sorts each entry by type (rehearsal or concert), while titles and venues always stay exactly as printed. The admin reviews the draft, edits what needs editing and publishes — from then on the whole group sees the same current plan. No retyping, no forwarding PDFs around, no doubt which version is current.

The Schedule feature presents the month as a clean list, day by day, and as a calendar view with a detail dialog for every day — times, venues and notes included. For musicians the app is personal: their own services for the month, unmistakably marked.

The Assignment feature lets the admin distribute the services among the members — with the roster’s positions and individual workload limits (such as contract percentage, or a monthly maximum) right there while planning.

The Free-day wishes feature lets musicians enter the days they would like off — single days or whole ranges — well before the plan is made, so the admin can take every wish into account while planning.

The Absences feature lets members report when they cannot play. It treats the reason with care: the group only ever sees that someone is away, never why.

The Duty roster feature exports the familiar monthly roster as a print-ready PDF: one column per member with the complete service count (standing, total for the period, new standing, and the group average), one row per calendar day, weekends shaded. The same counts live on in the app, season after season.

The Seasons feature gives the year its shape: when a season ends, Pultplan archives a complete summary of all its months as a PDF and starts fresh — nothing gets lost in the transition.

Extra and substitute players (Aushilfen) can be recorded on a service — kept apart from the regular roster, so no member’s service count changes.

The Notifications feature keeps the group in the loop: when a new monthly plan is published, everyone sees it in the app.

The app speaks German and English throughout, and it is free — no ads, no paywalls.

Pultplan runs in the browser at pultplan.com, with iOS and Android versions soon to be released. It is currently in closed beta.
